mini hair haul!

So over the past few days/weeks I have purchased a few new hair products that I thought I would share with you all. Some of these I haven't tried yet as I have literally just bought them an hour ago but I will be reviewing them on my blog very soon once I have tested them out long enough to see any differences to my hair!

Please excuse my camera quality and my pug bedding!

Ever since I bleached my hair and dyed it lilac (it has now faded back to blonde) I have wanted to try these products! I have heard countless people rave about this shampoo and conditioner, so I thought why not give it a try myself?

I also purchased a shampoo from the same brand, which has a violet pigment inside which should hopefully make my hair have a tint of lilac! (if it actually works!)

I paid only £1.59 a bottle which I think is quite a good bargain, from a shop called Home Bargains, but this brand is also sold in drugstores.

Next on my list of things I needed to grab was the COLAB dry shampoo, I have heard, again, a lot of people talk about how amazing this dry shampoo is and I have to agree (and I HATE dry shampoos). The smell is so amazing and it really does make your hair look and feel freshly washed! If you would like a full review on this product please let me know in the comments and I will do that for you!

And last but not least I grabbed a cheeky little spray in and wash out lilac hair dye from superdrug, I have already used one of these and it's amazing! Adds such a lovely tint of lilac (can you tell I like lilac hair from this haul or what?!). It is quite a small bottle so if you have thick or long hair you may have to purchase more
than one at a time! (I couldn't find this anywhere on the superdrug website so they might only sell it in store!)

Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products and what you think of them?

barry m nail polish in mint green

Because I've been such a shitty blogger lately I thought I would do just a quick little post on my favourite nail polish for the spring time. The Barry M nail polish in the shade ' 304 mint green' will be constantly on my nails throughout spring. Mint Green is pretty much my fave colour anyway, so what more excuse do I need to wear this?!

dove summer glow | review

My mum has been obsessing over this product for over a year now, and now the weather is starting to get nicer I thought I would try it out instead of being pale all summer.
This is a moisturiser but it slowly builds up a tan at the same time. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and I'm in love with it. I don't have any pictures of how pale I was before using so I couldn't really upload a picture of my tan now to compare. It brings out such a lovely natrual looking tan as well as leaving your skin so soft. I apply this after having a shower and it works wonders. It hasn't left any streaks on me so far and blends so nicely.

It is sold in about 3 different shades. I chose 'normal to dark' as I wanted quite a dark tan.

top 5 under £5!

Seeing as I haven't been posting a lot, I thought I would just quickly do a post. I have so many great ideas for posts, but without a camera it's a bit hard to take decent looking photos!

Face:

Of course the Collection 'lasting perfection' concealer would be on this list. For only £4.19 it is such a high quality concealer and has been compared to many high end concealers. I'm sure you've heard many beauty bloggers preaching about this product so I won't go on any longer.

MUA is one of my favorite drugstore brands. The blushers are only £1 each! (some range to £3 but no higher). The pigmentation of these is amazing. Personally I prefer my MUA blushers to my MAC blushers and for £14 cheaper!? Why not?!

Eyes:

Next is another MUA product, oops. This eyeshadow pallette is only £4! Yes, you read that correctly, £4 for 12 eyeshadows! You just can't say no...

The only eyeliner I use on my waterline is the Rimmel 'Exaggerate Waterproof' eyeliner. For a steal of £3.99 it's amazing, stays on all day without smudging and I love it.

Lips:

Last but not least is, yet again, another MUA product. These lipsticks are only £1 and last all day long! I would recommend MUA to anyone just starting out in makeup and aren't sure what suits them, for such a cheap price, if you love it; great! If you don't; at least it didn't break your bank balance!

drugstore wishlist

1. The L'oreal True Match foundation. £9.99
I have heard so many good reviews on this foundation and I have been using the same foundation for ages now so when the ones I have now begin to run out I should for sure be purchasing this one and trying it out for myself!

2. Batiste dry shampoo. £2.99
Now I have never been one to use dry shampoos but lately being so busy I've been tempted to purchase one and try it out in case I don't have time to wash my hair!

3. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. £4.99
I have tried out the L'oreal Skin Perfection and now I would love to try out this one just to be able to compare the two and find out my favourite out of them both.

4. Rimmel Scandal'Eyes Kohl Eyeliner. £2.99 - £3.99
This is a random one, basically I haven't purchased a new eyeliner in a while and I need too. So yeah, this ones boring, oops sorry.

5. Sleek 'Blush by 3'. £9.99
I have heard such amazing reviews on all of the Sleek blushers and really need to try some out for myself. They have the most beautiful colour range and I can't wait to purchase one of these products sometime soon.

L'oreal Skin Perfection | Review

Now I'm sure most of you have heard of the 'L'oreal Skin Perfection' Micellar water. I just thought I would do a quick review on it considering that I have been using it for the past month or so now.

Now this is what the product looks like, most drugstores sell it too. I received this as a little gift for Christmas, otherwise I probably wouldn't have tried it to be honest.

I find that when pouring it onto a cotton pad there is a lot of waste and way too much comes out. It does an excellent job at removing makeup though! One swipe and pretty much all of my makeup is taken off.

The first week when I started trying it I found that I came out in a few spots, but I believe this was because I have never used a product like this before and my skin is quite sensitive.

I would recommend it though! I believe it's a good thing to try out and it doesn't cost too much.

January Favourites

This is my very first favourites post since I started my blog, so I thought I would share with you what I have been loving over this past month.

Hair and Beauty.

The first thing I have been loving this month is the L'oreal studio 'Matt and Messy' salt spray. This has been a product I purchase over and over again anyway. It gives such a nice textured look to your hair without weighing it down and making it look greasy like I found other salt sprays do. It is only £3.75 in drugstores and the bottle lasts ages. Recommend picking this up and giving it a try!

I feel a theme coming along here, my next product is the L'oreal 'Triple Active Day' moisturiser. I got this a gift for Christmas and I have been using it every day and night since. I love it. It really helps to keep my skin looking healthy and has not made me break out at all which I normally do when I find new products. It is normally £6.49, but boots are doing it for £4.33 so go pick it up whilst the offer is on! You will not be disappointed.

Next is the best foundation I have ever bought in my life. Oh I love it. It is the MAC 'Matchmaster' foundation. I got mine in the shade 1.5, but I could've done with a shade lighter, but that's fine. It blends perfectly into my skin and adapts to my skin tone as well. It is a full coverage and the tiniest blob of it goes a long way. If you've never tried a high end foundation but want to, I suggest this one. It retails for £27, which I know is expensive but as I said a little blob goes a long way and you won't be needing to repurchase anytime soon! Click here to read my full review.

My favourite lip product this month has been the Topshop lipstick in the shade 'Inhibition' I included it in my 'whats in my makeup bag' post. It is the most beautiful dark purple shade. It looks so nice on any skin tone and lasts pretty much all day. It sells in most Topshop stores for £8.

And finally for the beauty favourites of the month is the L'oreal 'Miss Manga' mascara. This was only recently bought out in the UK and many shops had it on offer, so I thought I'd go and pick up one (or maybe 3). This is the best mascara I have tried, yes, it beats the 'They're real' by Benefit in my opinion. It is only £8.99 which I think is amazing. It adds so much length and volume and really opens your eyes up. Click here to read my full review.

Fashion.

Now my last blog post was on these boots so I won't speak a lot about them. These have been my favourite shoes since before I even got them! They are so comfortable to walk in and they just make a plain outfit more interesting. Here is a link to my last blog post on them.

Random Favourites.

Anyone that knows me will know how much I love PLL, and the wait between the Halloween episode until this month has been agonizing for me. Now January saw the premiere of the rest of season 4, and it has got pretty intense. I am from England so unfortunately I have to watch it online the day after. I recommend this show to everyone (maybe not boys because it is pretty girly), I have been addicted since the first episode. It's just the best.

Lastly is my newest yankee candle. Now I adore these candles as I know a lot of people do. My favourite scent this month has been 'Lavender Spa'. It's lovely, and makes my whole room smell beautiful! Worth picking any of these up as they are honestly my favourite candles.

That is all of my favourites for this month. Thank you for reading, be sure to follow for more fashion and beauty posts! Comment below and let me know what your favourites are this month!

TOP 10 DRUGSTORE PRODUCTS.

Hello! So I decided today I would share with you all my top 10 drugstore products. All of these products are under £10 and they are all so amazing!

First of all I have the MUA 'undress your skin' highlighter. The price of this highlighter is just £3, which is amazing for how wonderful this product is. Just add a touch of this to your cheek bones, cupids bow and nose and your good to go with a natural looking glow to your skin. It's also a multi-purpose product as I also like to use this as eyeshadow as well, it really brightens up your whole look.

For my second product I picked out the MUA (I promise you I will include more brands) 'English Rose' blush. It is the most wonderful shade of pink and it adds the 'I've just been outside in the cold' look to your cheeks and leaves them looking not too over done. It also really highlights your cheeks and makes them stand out. Now this product is very blue toned so if you don't like that then I wouldn't really recommend this to you.

Next I have the Rimmel 'Stay Matte' powder. Now if you follow a lot of beauty bloggers and watch their youtubes and stuff like that then you will know how 'raved' about this product is, but there is a reason for that. It is so affordable (£3.99 in superdrug) and it helps to set your makeup and keep it in place for most of the day as well as adding a matte finish to your whole look.

The Bourjois 'Chocolate' Bronzer or whatever it is actually called is the perfect drugstore product for contouring in my opinion. It is a matte bronzer and the pigmentation is amazing, and the amount the brush picks up and adds to your cheeks is so good for something from the drugstore. It really helps to define your face and for only £6.99 you couldn't go wrong!

Next is the ever so famous topshop lipsticks. They are £8 and I think all topshop stores sell them if I am correct. They have such great pigmentation and a lovely formula which doesn't dry out your lips and leave them looking yucky. My favourite shade they do is 'Inhibition' which is this lovely dark purple, I know it looks a little scary but it suits most skintones I find really well. They are such amazing lipsticks. I would rather buy these than MAC ones, and for almost half the price as well!

The next product is the Rimmel 'Glam Eyes' liquid eyeliner. Obviously I had to include this as it is the best one I have tried so far. The brush I find is so easy to work with and it's really easy to create a nice wing with this eyeliner too. It sells in shops for only £5.29 and as you can tell from the state of the packaging mine has seen some loving. I use it every single day without fail but I really need to try some more ones. So if you have any recommendations please leave them below in the comments.

The mascara I picked was the 'Miss Manga' mascara by L'oreal. How could I not include this?! It is the best mascara I have ever tried. It retails for £8.99 but some shops might have it on special offer. I won't go into too much detail as I have a review on it which you can read if you click here.

I picked the Rimmel 'Wake Me Up' foundation as it leaves such a beautiful finish, it really makes your skin glow and look radiant without making you look plastic. It has a medium coverage but you can build it up to full if you blend it properly into your skin. The price of this foundation is only £8.99 but most of the time superdrug have it on offer for only £5.99!

Of course I had to pick the matching concealer. This concealer gives such a good coverage, I would only use this for under your eyes because it highlights a little bit, and their is nothing worse than highlighting the fact that you have a blemish! The price is £5.49 and is the best one I have tried yet.

Last but not least (cringe oops) is the maybelline 'Colour Tattoo' eyeshadows. These are pretty much a dupe for the MAC paintpots and for a fraction of the price. You can use them as a base or just alone if you want. They come in a range of different colours, but my favourite is the 'pink gold' which is the beautiful shade in the pictures. They are only £4.99 and last for ages!

Thank you so much everyone for reading this. Be sure to follow me for more beauty posts. I will be posting more often from now on. Leave me comments as I need more ideas for blog posts and let me know what you would like to see.

Review | L'oreal 'Miss Manga' Masacara!

Today's post is a review on the new L'oreal 'Miss Manga' mascara. Now, with mascara's I'm not one to go out and try loads of new ones, I normally stick to Benefit They're Real, and my Rimmel 'Scandaleyes' but from some reason something attracted me to this new one. I love the way it was advertised, and with Barbara Palvin modelling it how could I not want to try it?!

I have only had it for a few days but so far I love it! The packaging is very sleek and simple, with a pink lid and black body. I know packaging isn't important but to me it sometimes is. sometimes I won't buy something unless I like the look of the packaging.
I would upload a picture of what it actually looks like on my eyelashes but seeing as I don't have a camera right now and all the pictures I upload are from my phone, it is very hard to get a decent picture which shows how beautiful this product is.

The brush is amazing, it has the ability to bend all different ways so you can reach each and every eyelash.

When using this mascara I feel as if it makes my eyelashes look 10x longer, fuller and adds so much volume, it gives the effect of wearing natural looking false eyelashes (if that makes any sense whatsoever). Because the wand can bend, it ables you to apply this to your bottom eyelashes and helps to really open and widen your eyes.

I would 100% recommend this mascara to anyone! It is fab. I picked this up in Superdrug (boots also have the same offer on) for £5.99 on a special introductory offer (it is normally £8.99 which is still an amazing price for a mascara) so go and pick one up at your local drugstore.

Thank you guys so much for reading. Be sure to check out the rest of my blog and follow for more beauty and fashion posts and reviews!
