the hunt is over
Have you ever seen someone post a picture on instagram and spend time hunting down their exact outfit with no luck of finding it? Because I know I have and it was horrible and time consuming, but after discovering an app called 'The Hunt' I no longer have to! This is the most helpful app I have ever downloaded and it's free!

You can upload pictures of the outfit you like, add hashtags, your budget and description to the post, upload it and watch people reply with direct links to similar or sometimes the exact item you are looking for! You can also offer your help and 'find' items for other people, such as if you see a top that you know is from Urban Outfitters simply click 'find' and post it on the person's upload! It's so amazing and helpful and I'm bummed I didn't find out about it sooner!
I highly recommend checking this app out, but WARNING, it does make you spend money, which is exactly what I love doing!

my ultimate spotify playlist
Hello again! Sorry for the lack of posts these past few days, I have been so busy with work and stressing out over university applications I didn't have a chance to sit down, think of and write a post (and to be honest I still haven't but I didn't want to neglect my blog so I decided to do a really quick one)!
Lately I've been really loving spotify, and prefer listening to it over my iTunes so I thought I would share my 'ultimate' spotify playlist, which is really just my favourite songs all bundled into one place making it easy for me to find and listen to.
My taste in music varies a lot, one minute I'll be listening to One Direction and the next I will be rocking to Slipknot.
Sorry this isn't beauty or fashion related, I wanted to switch up my blog a little bit! Comment below with your favourite songs right now, or recommend some to me as I would love to find new songs.

mini hair haul!
So over the past few days/weeks I have purchased a few new hair products that I thought I would share with you all. Some of these I haven't tried yet as I have literally just bought them an hour ago but I will be reviewing them on my blog very soon once I have tested them out long enough to see any differences to my hair!
| Please excuse my camera quality and my pug bedding! |
I also purchased a shampoo from the same brand, which has a violet pigment inside which should hopefully make my hair have a tint of lilac! (if it actually works!)
I paid only £1.59 a bottle which I think is quite a good bargain, from a shop called Home Bargains, but this brand is also sold in drugstores.
And last but not least I grabbed a cheeky little spray in and wash out lilac hair dye from superdrug, I have already used one of these and it's amazing! Adds such a lovely tint of lilac (can you tell I like lilac hair from this haul or what?!). It is quite a small bottle so if you have thick or long hair you may have to purchase more
than one at a time! (I couldn't find this anywhere on the superdrug website so they might only sell it in store!)
LINKS TO PRODUCTS LISTED HERE:
Let me know in the comments if you have tried any of these products and what you think of them?

the beauty bloggers tag
As I have taken a break from blogging for the past 10 months I thought I would come back with an updated 'beauty bloggers tag' this is just so my readers can get to know a bit more about me and I thought it would be a fun post to do as I'm trying to post more often (this will be my second post of the day) and get into the swing of things. So lets begin:
Why did you start blogging and how long have you been blogging for?
I started blogging because I have always loved writing, make up and fashion, so what better thing to do than combine the three and make a real hobby out of this! I started my blog in December 2013, but due to college, work and a few other things I couldn't be as dedicated as I wanted to be, so I have recently decided that now would be a better time to properly focus on my blog.
Whose blog did you fall in love with first?
The first blog that I personally fell in love with was Zoe Suggs (www.zoella.co.uk). She is so inspiring and has done so well, she has such a lovely personality and everything about her is entertaining to watch (as well as read).
What was the first blogosphere hyped about product that you bought? Was it worth the hype?
I try so hard not to give into buying products that there is loads of hype around because half the time it's really not worth it, especially if it costs a lot of money, but I think the first product I bought purely because I read about it online would be the 'Bourjois 'Chocolate' Bronzer'. I think everyone has purchased this at some point, and to be honest, I don't hate it, but I also don't love it. The product is good but I could have gone without buying it and not felt like I missed out on anything 'special'
What are you five favourite things about blogging and being a Beauty Blogger?
1. Blogging is a very good way to express your opinion and to also get opinions on products before you buy them, and see what other people say about them and for you to judge for yourself if they are worth the money.
2. The advice from other bloggers! Bloggers are so kind and are always willing to help people and I just love how everyone acts like a family and it's lovely.
3. Talking to new people with the same interests in make-up and fashion as me. Some of my friends in real life aren't as interested in fashion and make-up as I am so it's nice to be able to connect with people online.
4. Writing posts and reading other peoples new posts to see what they love and hate, and possibly find new products to try out. Some products aren't sold in the high street shops so it's nice to see people blogging about smaller brands and being able to try out different things all the time.
5. It is a hobby. I find reading blogs on beauty and fashion very interesting and it's something I love to do in my spare time. I love putting effort into writing and being more 'social', even if it is just over the internet!
What are your top 5 makeup brands?
1. MAC - over the past year or so I have made so many trips to MAC and just fall in love with everything in there! I know MAC is pretty expensive but it is such good quality, you definitely get what you pay for and I recommend it to everyone!
2. Benefit - another high end brand I'm sorry, but it is worth the money you spend. Benefit 'they're real' mascara is the best mascara ever, and I promise you will not be disappointed with anything Benefit bring out.
3. Urban Decay - I mainly only use Urban Decay for their eye make-up! I'm sure everyone has heard of the Naked Palettes and their Eyeshadow Primer Potion, they are amazing products and I believe everyone should give them a try!
4. Rimmel - these are my favourite drugstore make-up brand by far! The quality of their products are so good and very affordable. I believe this brand is very good for people who are just starting out in make-up and don't yet want to splurge on the bigger brands.
5. MUA - this brand is good for people on a budget and trust me, some of their stuff is amazing and so affordable. Their blushers are only £1 a time and they are so pigmented!
Recommend your top 5 beauty products..
1. MAC Studio Fix Fluid foundation - this is such an amazing foundation. It has such high coverage and makes your skin look flawless.
2. Urban Decay Eye Shadow Primer Potion - this stuff really does help your eye make-up last all day and in my opinion is really affordable!
3. Benefit 'they're real' mascara - honestly, the best mascara I have ever tried. It makes your eyelashes so long and full looking. I will never regret investing in this.
4. MAC lipsticks - I could sit here all day and list all the shades I love, but they are such a good investment and they last for so long!
5. Benefit 'Hoola' Bronzer - this stuff is amazing for contouring your face, it's the most perfect matte shade for most skin tones and really helps to give you defined cheekbones!
I tag anyone reading this to also do this tag and leave a link to them in the comments below!
Public Desire are my new desire.
I'm sure most people have heard of the online brand Public Desire by now. They have the most beautiful boots and heels for the most amazing prices. I thought I would check them out a few weeks ago now and I honestly fell in love with 99% of the website. I had to stop myself from buying too much!
The quality is amazing for the price, the heel is 1" which is perfect for anyone of any height. They are so comfortable, but I found I had to wear them in a little bit for them to fit my feet perfectly as my feet are quite wide.
You can wear these with anything from jeans and leggings, to dresses and skirts. I feel they really 'edge' up any outfit. Personally I love teaming these boots up with black jeans, a plain t-shirt and a leather jacket, I feel like that gives the 'rock chick' look which I really love.
I 100% recommend anyone to check out this website if you are looking for affordable yet amazing quality boots.
The link to the exact boots can be found here.

review of my 2014 bucket list & new goals for 2015!
So for my first blog post of the new year (and my first one in a while due to lack of motivation and constantly working) I thought I would review the bucket list/goals that I set for myself this time last year and see what I achieved and what I didn't. I thought this would be a good idea to make myself feel a little bit more positive about things that I achieved within the year and set more goals for myself this year.
My bucket list/goals post from last year can be found here.
First of all on my list was to be a more positive person, I really did try and do this within the past year, I think I achieved in some aspects like my attitude towards life and other people but not really towards myself which is really something I would love to work on this year.
I did not join the gym at all, if anything I actually gained a lot more weight than what I wanted to. But I am joining the gym within the week with my friend and have purchased all the clothes to get me motivated to start sometime soon!
Next was to go to Paris with my boyfriend, this didn't happen last year but we did end up going on holiday to Turkey which was lovely and I enjoyed it so much!
The fourth one on my list was the only one so far that I did actually achieve, and that was to pass college with all distinctions! If you're currently in college and reading this I promise you all the hard work pays off in the end and you will be so thankful, trust me I am!
I didn't end up going to University last year, I decided to take a year out to focus on myself and other aspects in my life and intend on going this year, I am sending off my application this week and I am so nervous again!
Number 5 was to travel to Australia for Christmas, but unfortunately my work situation would not let me have a whole month in December off, but hopefully I will get out there sometime soon and see my family!
I'll tie 6 & 7 in together, I tried to be more social but I really struggle with meeting new people. I would say that I have stayed in touch with most of my friends from college, and I do go out a lot with my friends from work, so in some ways I achieved this, but in some ways I didn't.
Plucking up the courage to start a youtube channel is something I will need a little bit more time to work on. I need to stop worrying and go for it!
I guess I did explore the world a little bit more as I did head to Turkey, it was so nice to see how other countries live and go about their everyday lives and to see different cultures. I would love to see more of the world this year but I do need to get over my fear of flying as I cried pretty much the whole way to Turkey and back!
10 was to hit 4k followers on twitter (I don't quite know why that was a goal but oh well!) and I did!
Getting over phobias is not something I think I will ever achieve, I am scared of a lot of things and it will take a lot more than a year to get over most of them, if I ever could at all.
If anything I spent more money last year than any year at all, I got myself a new job where I got paid more so to me that meant more spending and not saving up for important things like a car and more driving lessons! Oops!
Blogging 5 times a week clearly did not happen and I'm really sorry. I got so lost with working and college and trying to be more social I completely lost touch with my blog and I would love to work on that this year and start posting more!
Due number 13 failing I didn't end up achieving number 14 but again I really wish to this year!
I will post my 'goals for 2015' within the next few days once I have really thought about everything that I want to achieve!
Let me know in the comments your goals for this year? I would love to read them all!

what's in my bag?
I have never done one of these posts before and seeing as I just got a new bag I thought I would show you what I keep in my bag.
| Primark - £10 |
I didn't realize how light I actually travel. Oops.
Things I carry around on an everyday basis are;
- of course my make up bag, what girl goes out without one?!
- my purse (£4 primark, what a bargain!)
- bus pass, because unfortunatley I have to travel to college and work.
- Deodorant and my body spray I'm wearing that day.
- last but not least, my college lanyard and a pen, how boring!
OOTD | 5th april 2014
I thought I would quickly show my OOTD. This is my first post like this so I had to do the 'mirror' selfie to show the outfit. I picked this playsuit up for £5! Primark is the best place to go right now! & I'm just pairing that with some black tights and my black converses (can you tell I like the colour black?)

barry m nail polish in mint green
Because I've been such a shitty blogger lately I thought I would do just a quick little post on my favourite nail polish for the spring time. The Barry M nail polish in the shade ' 304 mint green' will be constantly on my nails throughout spring. Mint Green is pretty much my fave colour anyway, so what more excuse do I need to wear this?!

the makeup mishaps tag
I just saw this tag that the lovely Becky posted, so I thought I would do it as well.
You're going to a high end beauty event - would you rather:
You're going to a high end beauty event - would you rather:
Have really thick, dark, sharpie eyebrows or a major neck/foundation line?
Hmm this is hard. I think I would rather have a foundation line. Only because I have very light blonde hair so I couldn't pull off the dark eyebrow look at all.
Have chipped nail polish or horribly faded lipstick?
Chipped nails for sure!
Have smudged all your eye make up or have lipstick on your teeth?
Lipstick on my teeth. I wear quite a lot of eye makeup so I would just look like a panda with smudged eye makeup.
Over highlight - a la disco ball - or over pluck those brows and look constantly surprised?
My eyebrows are dreadful anyway. So the over plucked eyebrow look it'll have to be.
It's a typical working/school day, and unfortunately your beauty products have gone missing. You can only find a few things hidden at the bottom of your makeup bag, and have to use what you can find. What do you choose?
OTT unsubtle fake lashes or clear mascara?
I would have to go for fake eyelashes. I can't go out with my blonde eyelashes, it looks like I have none!
A foundation five shades too dark or five shades too light?
Too light for sure, considering I'm really pale anyway.
Hair-gloss (a beautifully sticky gloss: perfect for getting your hair stuck to in the wind) or gorgeous concealer lips?
Hair gloss! Concealer lips are a NO-GO at all times.
Finally, it's the middle of summer - you can have either a manicure or a pedicure. However, the other set of nails have to be bare - what do you pick?
Pedicure! I hate my feet as it is, so I would get those done just to make me feel better about them!
I tag everyone who reads this! Leave the link to yours in the comments!
dove summer glow | review
My mum has been obsessing over this product for over a year now, and now the weather is starting to get nicer I thought I would try it out instead of being pale all summer.
This is a moisturiser but it slowly builds up a tan at the same time. I've been using it for about 2 weeks now and I'm in love with it. I don't have any pictures of how pale I was before using so I couldn't really upload a picture of my tan now to compare. It brings out such a lovely natrual looking tan as well as leaving your skin so soft. I apply this after having a shower and it works wonders. It hasn't left any streaks on me so far and blends so nicely.
It is sold in about 3 different shades. I chose 'normal to dark' as I wanted quite a dark tan.

top 5 under £5!
Seeing as I haven't been posting a lot, I thought I would just quickly do a post. I have so many great ideas for posts, but without a camera it's a bit hard to take decent looking photos!
Face:
Of course the Collection 'lasting perfection' concealer would be on this list. For only £4.19 it is such a high quality concealer and has been compared to many high end concealers. I'm sure you've heard many beauty bloggers preaching about this product so I won't go on any longer.
MUA is one of my favorite drugstore brands. The blushers are only £1 each! (some range to £3 but no higher). The pigmentation of these is amazing. Personally I prefer my MUA blushers to my MAC blushers and for £14 cheaper!? Why not?!
Eyes:
Next is another MUA product, oops. This eyeshadow pallette is only £4! Yes, you read that correctly, £4 for 12 eyeshadows! You just can't say no...
The only eyeliner I use on my waterline is the Rimmel 'Exaggerate Waterproof' eyeliner. For a steal of £3.99 it's amazing, stays on all day without smudging and I love it.
Lips:
Last but not least is, yet again, another MUA product. These lipsticks are only £1 and last all day long! I would recommend MUA to anyone just starting out in makeup and aren't sure what suits them, for such a cheap price, if you love it; great! If you don't; at least it didn't break your bank balance!

Fashion and Make up Haul | February - March 2014
I've been shopping quite a bit over these past 3-4 days so I thought I would should you all what I've picked up on my travels. (Again, sorry for the quality of the pictures, still haven't purchased a new camera yet so iPhone quality will have to do for now!)
Primark.
Primark this month have had so many amazing things I wish I could buy but I have had to restrain myself. It's a great place to buy essentials and basics, which is exactly what I've done this month.
The black skater skirt was only £1!!! How could I say no?!
Floral slouchy PJ pants - £6
Tights - £2.50
Camden Market.
Breaking Bad jumper - £15 1D phone case - £5
MAC.
How could I go to London without visiting MAC? I couldn't. Covent Garden is the closest MAC store to where I live in Essex. All I purchased on this visit was the blusher in the shade 'Peachykeen' for £18, now I know that's quite expensive but the quality of their blush is amazing and I will put a review up soon. The lipstick is in the shade 'Snob' and it's the most beautiful pink colour I've ever seen. Again, I will post a review on that soon, and it was £15.
Topshop
'Kiss Me' shirt - £16 (I couldn't find the exact one to link, but I have found one very similar)
H&M
I never used to shop in H&M but over these past couple of months I have been loving some of the things they've had in and it's become pretty much my favourite shop. One thing I will say though, when looking at skirts and trousers in there, try them on in the shop, I am a size 10 in every shop but I will be having to take the skirt back to get a 12 because it is ridiculously tight on me.
Tartan Skirt - £14.99
I have linked everything that I could find on the posts, thank you for reading. Be sure to follow to see more reviews and hauls like this one!

suggestions please?
Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I've been so busy.
Tomorrow I'm going on a trip to camden/covent garden, whilst there I will be visiting the MAC store, I would just like to know any recommendations on what I should get and what you think is good. Leave it in the comments and any reviews to any products as well would be great, thank you!

top current fashion trends
Monochrome:
This has always been a huge fashion trend which I don't think will ever fade. It's so easy to wear and it gives an outfit quite a classy look and it's been seen all over the latest fashion shows and the hottest celebs.
Body Chains:
These are such a beautiful piece of jewellery and really help to turn a plain outfit into something else. Wearing this with a crop top and high-waisted jeans would look amazing. Celebs such as Kylie Jenner have been seen wearing these lately and they are available in pretty much any shop whether it be high end or high street.
Pastels:
Pastels always come back into fashion this time of year when spring is approaching and this year will be no different. Pastels are being seen all over the fashion shows lately and are everywhere in the shops. This is such a lovely trend with such a wide range of colours and designs everywhere to suit everyone too.
